Risk Insights was honoured to participate in the World Economic Forum's Summer Davos Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2024, held from June 25-27 in Dalian, China. The event convened approximately 1,600 leaders from business, government, civil society, international organizations, and academia to explore innovative models for sustainable and inclusive global growth. Under the theme "Next Frontiers for Growth," discussions focused on six key pillars: a new global economy; China and the world; entrepreneurship in the age of AI; new frontiers for industries; investing in people; and connecting climate, nature, and energy. At this event, our Founder, Anushka Bogdanov, along with Professor Danny Quah, Li Ka Shing Professor in Economics and Dean at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, delivered insightful perspectives on "Confronting Global Risks 2024," with a focus on sustainability and Africa. Quah’s research interests lie in income inequality, economic growth, and international economic relations, emphasizing the global power shift and alternative models of global power relations.
